Borek Fałęcki is one of the Kraków disctrict. In 1906, there was a factory called Sodium Plants Solvay, in which pope John Paul the Second worked as a manual worker during the Second World War. Because of big pollution and environmentally harmful influence, sodium plants were demolished in 1996. Since 2007 on their place there have been shopping malls like Solvay Park or Carrefour.
